Heritage Open Days 9 - 10 Sept / 24th August 2016 Back

1346

We are very proud to  be part of the biggest festival of history and culture in England. Heritage Open Days sees volunteers creating special events or stewarding historic properties that may be closed normally. The Heritage Open Days festival is over four days from 8th to 11th September and there are a number of historic treasures in Herefordshire to explore before you come to us on the Saturday or Sunday

The Old Mayor's Parlour will not be open until 10th September as we have artists setting up the "Abstraction" exhibition during the Thursday and Friday. Health and safety restricts the access to the artists whilst they work moving paintings, photographs and ceramics into the building. They also need space to set-up.

You could pop along to the Herefordhire Archive & Records Centre in the City (Thrusday only and pre-booking required), or out to the recent One Show favourite Weobley to the Bell Tower Event (weekend only), Bemont Abbey on the Thursday and Saturday only. Check the Heritage Open Days site for access, booking and opening details for each event.
